MedInformatix names Healthmonix a preferred MIPS registry for its client base
Designation arrives as CMS proposes tighter rules on who may submit quality data on a practice’s behalf
MALVERN, Pa. [Oct. 1, 2026] — Healthmonix, a CMS-approved Qualified Registry and Qualified Clinical Data Registry, today announced that MedInformatix, Inc. has designated the Healthmonix Prism™ platform as a preferred MIPS registry product for its client base, with discounted subscription pricing for MedInformatix clients.
The arrangement gives practices using the MedInformatix electronic health record a direct path to Medicare quality reporting, including traditional MIPS, MIPS Value Pathways, and quality reporting support for Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organizations. It pairs MedInformatix’s established ambulatory platform with Healthmonix’s expertise in CMS quality programs, regulatory interpretation, and value-based care performance.
The timing reflects a proposed regulatory change. In the CY2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule, published July 14, 2026, CMS proposes to clarify that health information technology vendors may not act as third-party intermediaries for MIPS submission unless they separately qualify as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry or qualified registry. Practices that have relied on their software vendor to submit quality data on their behalf may need a registry relationship.
As CMS programs continue to evolve, practices face growing complexity in measure requirements, data interoperability, and regulatory compliance. This makes the choice of reporting partner consequential in a way it has not been before.
Since 2009, Healthmonix has been a CMS-approved registry through every generation of Medicare quality reporting, from the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative and the Physician Quality Reporting System through MIPS, MIPS Value Pathways, and today’s expanding value-based care programs. Every program evolution. Every major rule change. Every performance year since 2009.
“Medicare quality reporting has changed dramatically over the past two decades, but what providers need from a reporting partner has not,” said Lauren Patrick, President and Chief Executive Officer of Healthmonix. “Someone who reads the rule, gets the data right, and makes sure clinicians get credit for the care they delivered. We are glad to bring that experience to MedInformatix clients, and to help them prepare for what comes next.”
“When it comes to leveraging data to showcase the importance of value-based care, the Healthmonix platform is in a league of its own,” said Pat McGonigle, CEO of MedInformatix. “We are thrilled to offer them as a preferred partner to our customers as they meet their MIPS requirements and demonstrate their value-based care performance.”
MedInformatix clients receive discounted subscription pricing, a secure direct data connection from the MedInformatix system, dedicated onboarding, ongoing account management, measure guidance, performance analytics, data validation, and submission to CMS on the practice’s authorization. Reporting covers Quality, Promoting Interoperability, and Improvement Activities at the individual clinician or group level.
Healthmonix’s Prism platform supports organizations across the programs they are accountable for, including MIPS and MVPs, APP and APP Plus reporting for Shared Savings Program ACOs, the Ambulatory Specialty Model, and quality and cost performance analytics.
That breadth is becoming the point. With traditional MIPS proposed to sunset after 2028 and the Ambulatory Specialty Model beginning Jan. 1, 2027, a growing number of practices will be accountable under more than one program at the same time.
